Runoff Assessment Report
As directed by Municipal Storm Water Order 2001-01, all jurisdictions in San Diego County were mandated to update their General Plans to ensure water quality concerns were addressed during the planning and construction of new development or significant redevelopment projects. As such, the City of Oceanside has developed new water quality language to be inserted into the Land Use Element of the General Plan.
In order to ensure certain development projects, with a potential to contribute pollutants to the Oceanside storm water conveyance system, address water quality concerns in their design and construction, the City of Oceanside is requiring a Runoff Assessment Report to be completed by the following development or redevelopment projects:
- Residential development from 5 to 9 units.
- Commercial developments (as identified per City Zoning Code) which would create or replace impervious area (i.e. concrete, asphalt, etc.) from 2,500 to 4,999 square feet.
- Industrial development (as identified per City Zoning Code) which would create or replace impervious area (i.e. concrete, asphalt, etc.) from 2,500 to 4,999 square feet.
- Parking lots from 5 to 14 parking spaces
- Agricultural activities, including nurseries
A copy of the Runoff Assessment Report (306 KB) is provided so that you may become familiar with its requirements and design your project accordingly, if applicable.
