Many resources are available for commercial businesses that explains the sector specific Best Management Practices to implement. Some of the Statewide resources are provided for you in this page. The City of Oceanside, in cooperation with other San Diego County Jurisdictions, have additionally developed general and sector specific urban runoff literature. General Information

The complete Commercial Urban Runoff Requirements Manual (380 KB) for the City of Oceanside is available and details Best Management Practices required by the commercial sector. This manual has been incorporated into Oceanside City Code Chapter 40 requirements. Therefore, all commercial businesses must implement the Best Management Practices outlined in this manual.

The City of Oceanside has a brochure for commercial businesses (347 KB) that gives a general overview of the urban runoff regulations, how urban runoff effects our local waterbodies and tips for preventing storm water pollution.

Automotive

North County Storm Water Programs, a group in which the City of Oceanside participates, has developed an English/Spanish poster for automotive shops detailing Best Management Practices to be implemented on site. BMP posters are available for posting and employee training. Please contact us for your copy of the poster.

Project Clean Water, a group in which the City of Oceanside participates, has developed the Green Wrench Guide (477 KB) to assist automotive shops in the implementation of pollution prevention Best Management Practices.

The City of Oceanside Clean Water Program has developed a Grease and Urban Runoff Requirements for Oceanside Eating and Drinking Establishment booklet to assist restaurants in the implementation of pollution prevention Best Management Practices. A copy is available here for your viewing. Hard copies will be distributed to restaurants during annual inspections.
